Project management goes new ways: From project manager to process manager
It is becoming more and more difficult to plan projects in complex system worlds and dynamic environments on a long-term basis. The list of difficulties includes a large number of stakeholders with different interests and goals, shorter processing times, tighter budgets, and often also poor-quality source texts. Therefore, modern project management increasingly requires an integrated approach and a focus on the underlying process. For these reasons, the job profile of the project manager is gradually shifting toward that of a process manager and optimizer as a team player in networked environments.
