Call for Papers

We’re all in this industry together, and we all have a point of view on how to make it a better place. Lead the way by taking the stage in Athens!

The Programme Committee is seeking speakers and panellists with industry expertise, representing all perspectives of the industry, to stimulate discussion and interaction and bring tangible benefits for all attendees to support the theme Specialise to excel and the programme tracks:

  • Specialisation
  • Trends
  • Technology

Have you found a way to increase productivity? Got a great insight on a future trend? Made technology work for you? Developed better business relationships?

You deserve the recognition, and the Together audience needs to hear your story. Yes, yours!

Whether you work as an independent language professional or at a language service company, we welcome your proposal. Example of possible topics include:

  • Case studies highlighting the importance and benefits of specialisation
  • The ins and outs of specialising in law, medicine, finance, art history or other domains
  • The impact of workflow automation: case studies about how automation can improve efficiency
  • Using specialisation or technology as a differentiator or unique selling point (USP)
  • MTPE (machine translation post-editing) as a specialisation – what do we need to know?
  • Best practice for website or software localisation
  • Practical sessions where attendees leave with concrete solutions and real actions they can take to improve an aspect of their work
  • Mobile apps for translators and how this supports productivity
  • Integration through APIs* for translators, how translators can afford these integrations and how they are being used (*application programming interface, or how computer software components connect)
  • How translators can benefit from using speech technology

Each session is 55 minutes including Q&A. Please ensure that your presentation will fill 45 minutes.
