“Disintermediation provides major benefits to the distributor” say many papers. In the times where business models like Cabify, Uber, low-cost airlines, AirBnB, is disintermediation a role model for LSPs? Can technology, workflows and MT substitute PMs, minimize the number of “new translation” requests, centralize TMs so clients go into translation platforms to get jobs ordered and delivered? What can we learn about models like Uber, AirBnb? Will LSPs become language HHRR experts?
