Ricardo Souza is a full-time professional translator since 2000. He is specialized in Technical, scientific, and academic texts. He has a degree in Portuguese Language and Brazilian and Portuguese Literatures by the UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense) and a M.A. in Language Studies by the PUC-RJ (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro) in Brazil. He has been a consultant and lecturer on Professional Translation and Translation technologies since 2010. He is the current president of the ABRATES (Brazilian Translators Association). His main academic interests are the Applied Translation Studies, with a focus on the relationship between Translation, Society, and Technology.
